Customer Satisfaction Guarantee

Should you be unhappy with the cake we will do everything we can to rectify the matter before the event. If you are still unsatisfied then we will refund the payment in return for the cake.

If you believe that the cake inside is not up to the highest standards then as long as at least 50% of the cake is returned within 48 hours then a 50% refund will be given.

 

Check your order

While we take every measure possible to check orders it is also the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details on the order form are accurate. While we will do everything we can to rectify the situation when an error is made, the cake will be made as described on the order form.

 

Deposit and Terms of Payment

Once the order is placed the deposit (£50 for wedding and 50% for novelty cakes) based on the agreed quote and client approved design, is non-transferable and non-refundable. Where the cake has been paid in full and we have been given 28 days notice the balance less the deposit will be refunded. Where 14-27 days notice is given 50% of the price will be refunded, after that no refund is due.

Your event date is held for you from the date of your appointment or quote/invoice for 5 business days, after which your date may become unavailable if your deposit has not been received.

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, paypal or direct bank deposit.  For cakes that are being collected by the client with a value of less than £100, any remaining balance can be paid on collection.  For all other cakes, the balance of payment is due 10 days prior to the event date.

 

Hand Delivery

Having your cake hand delivered gives us the responsibility for ensuring that your cake arrives in a perfect state and on time.  Where any damage does occur then it is our responsibility to ensure that a replacement is received within the timescales given.  We would recommend hand delivery for all wedding and tiered cakes.

 

Collection

As you will appreciate that once the cake leaves our premises then we cannot be liable for any damage in transit. Please be aware that a flat surface is required to retain the stability of the cake and should be secured where possible to remove the risk of movement in transit. If you are unsure, please ask for advice.

 

Figurines and Flowers

Every measure is taken to ensure that your figurines and flowers are made to the highest standard; however they are made from icing and as a result are very fragile.  We are happy to provide care instructions for them and if cared for properly they will last for years; however we do not accept any liability for your figurines or flowers once they have been removed from the cake (photo evidence required if they should break whilst on the cake).

 

Best Before Dates

When preparing some cakes, especially larger ones, the cakes need to be in prep for two sometimes three days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the cake is as fresh as possible for the event the best before dates will be written on the delivery box.  If this is not available then you are guaranteed that you are safe to eat the cake up to 5 days following the event as long as the cake is stored covered in a cool dry place.
